Who am I

I’m a freelance journalist who has spent most of my professional life covering events at Manchester United. But far from being a professional assignment, many would say it’s a labour of love.

Born into a United family just a stone’s throw from Old Trafford, the club has been part of my life since before the umbilical cord was cut. I became a season ticket holder aged 11 and since then have travelled all over the world and experienced highs and lows galore.

In 1999 my hobby, passion and love became my job, and as such I’ve had the privilege to experience the club from inside and out. So I now look at the club with a profound logic – I have the ability to be balanced but biased…. to speculate from a knowledge base other fans just don’t have… but also to use my journalistic nous and contacts to better judge the fact from the fiction.

Expect opinionated posts…or rants! Biased, but rose tinted, not rose blinded. Like any love affair..I acknowledge the club’s faults… but love them in spite of the imperfections.
